JULY 2022 CHALLENGE WINNER

Aug 13, 2022

By Chris Neff

At the beginning of this challenge I set myself several goals, and while some of them may have been unrealistic for a 6 month period, I still pushed forward and knew that they are overall obtainable. I made big gains in the gym and life in general. I dreaded the stair climber, but knew I needed to get on there to start making progress again. Now I look forward to getting on that "death machine" and pushing myself. My resting heart rate has dropped around 20 bpm during the last month which I contribute to the stair climber. It wasn't a goal I had set, but it's amazing how much better I feel, and in reality, that's what matters most. I started this month at 308lbs, and ended at 291lbs. While still not at my goal, I'm still moving in the right direction. Overall I'm down 42lbs since starting the beginning of the Conquer Fitness $100K Challenge and under 300lbs for the first time in over 2 years.

I feel better than I have in a long time, and every time I look at my wife and kids, I know that every rep, every step, everyday I do something I don't necessarily feel like doing, is worth it so that I can give my family the best version of myself, mentally and physically.
